ABOUT ME
Originally from Brisbane, Australia. I now live in Oxford, England with my husband Adam. During the week I work in academic publishing, and on the weekends I'm lucky enough to teach yoga and Yoga Quota. (Check out the timetable here.) I'm a certified 350 hour yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance 200 RYT) and lover of all hot beverages. I've also completed a Masters of Philosophy in Art History. There is always food on my clothes (which are usually yoga pants).

I've also written an eBook, run a killer yoga retreat, and plan to write about our travels. (And I'm definitely an Instagram addict.)

FOOD
I'm trying to avoid labels with food (which for the perfectionist in me is...challenging). I eat loads and loads of fresh, seasonal vegetables and fruit. I eat a large proportion of vegan and vegetarian foods. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance a few years ago, and more recently as a celiac, so I avoid foods that contain gluten, and largely avoid dairy and refined sugar.

I am committed to loving our planet, and get a kick out of minimising waste and general environmental impact. I love wholefoods, and focus on the healthier side of things, but aim to cook and present them in a way which is possible to recreate and enjoy everyday. I want to make food that you love to eat, but also loves and respects the planet.

YOGA
Two things have profoundly changed my life. The first was revolutionising my approach to food, and the second was finding yoga. I first came to yoga in 2004, and after 8 years or so of sporadic practice, I found a deeper and more regular connection. I completed my Level 1 (350 hour) teacher training with My Health Yoga in early 2015.

I practice many forms of yoga, from traditional Hatha, to dynamic Vinyasa, and restorative Yin. I believe that yoga is all about balance, connection, joy and empowerment. Finding your breath and using it to connect to your body and mind is a powerfully transformative tool.

EVENTS & PRESS
If you'd like to get in touch with me, that would be swell - check out all my details on the contact page. I am available for freelance recipe development, food photography, private yoga classes and workshops, and events which combine food and yoga. I'd love to discuss any and all ideas.
